A Message From Fr. Paddy September 23, 2022

Good Afternoon,

We have lots happening in the parish!

Beginning next weekend, October 2nd, we will have mass at 9:00 am to replace the 9:30 am mass.

Spend an hour with Jesus and sign up for our 40 hours a week Eucharistic Adoration which begins on October 3rd.  Please see the bulletin insert.

Sign up for Revive Parishes in the link below and view Bishop Andrew Cozzens excellent video on the Eucharist Bishop Andrew Cozzens teaches the Eucharist on Revive Parishes

On Gumbo Festival weekend the masses on Saturday, November 5th at 4 pm & 6 pm will be held at the Methodist church in Diamondhead to help alleviate parking congestion.

The Gumbo Festival is in 6 weeks and we are in need of many volunteers!  If you could please contact Brian & Sylvia Finnila (228-623-9449 finzjeeping@gmail.com or 228-623-9448 srfinnila@gmail.com) to sign up to help with this huge fundraiser.  We are also in need of sponsors, and I have attached a sponsorship form.  Please reach out to those you know to help sponsor our event.

I am available for lunch on Monday and Friday if anyone or any group would like to have me.

We are looking for someone to sponsor a monstrance for the new church.  The last time we bought one the cost was, approximately, $2,500.00.

Congratulations to Paula Gonzalez from Most Holy Trinity and Adam Donald Swanier from St. Stephen’s for being this year’s recipients of the Lumen Christi Award.  Awards will be presented at the Nativity of the BVM Cathedral tomorrow, Saturday, September 24 at the 4:00 pm Liturgy.

Enjoy your weekend!

Fr. Paddy
